-Man wearing bullet-proof vest and flu mask, while clutching a cigarette and carrying on odd box-like bag. Debated whether it was wise to walk directly behind him for many reasons. This was at the women's university where I'm learning Korean.
-Little old Korean lady sprinting past me in the subway station. These ajummas move faster than I do when they're in a hurry.
-A gaggle of little old ladies touring the Ewha University campus, every single one of them clutching cream-coloured sun umbrellas. There's a separate word for these sun umbrellas = 'yangsan' (instead of 'usan', for regular umbrellas).
-A rather bizarre shop in Sinchon (student district where I'm living now) - looks like a Middle Age castle, complete with full-sized knights in armour. This shop sells sunglasses and prescription glasses, of all things. Why the medieval theme, I'll never understand. I will have a picture of this soon.
-Motorists driving on the sidewalk. How is this allowed? How? Why? why? Often I'll be looking at the ground while I'm walking to keep sight of Seoul's treacherously uneven ground, only to look up and see a moped speeding towards me.
Adorable encounters:
-Korean kid in my apartment complex who upon spotting me yells 'HELLO!!!'
-Wailing toddler in an elevator waving a plastic mouse in despair. I don't know about you, but I never had toy mice as a child.
-An assembly of little old men playing checkers on the sidewalk every afternoon in the sweltering heat. These guys are intense - if the picnic table's too crowded, they'll put cardboard on the pavement and set themselves on the ground.
Other notable sights:
-The abundance of man purses.
-Awesome underground building in Ewha University, which houses the bookstore, restaurants, patisseries, a flower shop, study area, copy centre, and a bona fide movie theatre. CRAZY.
Here are pictures of a few more bizarre images:

These fools at the language centre were making plastic bags float up high. Why? I don't know. There are many, many inexplicable things here.

So is the cock a certain colour or just sad?

My deep-dish pizza set meal. My fanta came in a small measuring cup. I love Korea.

Pink Panther is a teetotaler, in case you ever needed to know.

The measuring cup is my favorite :)
Have lots of fun, and keep making yourself very stalkable!
