1) I wasn't vaporised by the Grudge Lady last night, nor was I stabbed in my sleep by the dude who broke in (if someone did end up breaking in).
2) I met with my tutor today. He's... interesting. He's Irish, has a long ponytail, and looks like an esoteric film director. Perfect for my tutorial, I guess, since I'm looking at film adaptations of modernist British and Irish literature (yay!). I'm really excited about what I'm going to read and watch. Here's a short list:
-Read Heart of Darkness, watch Apocalypse Now
-Read Mrs. Dalloway, watch Mrs. Dalloway
-Read Trainspotting, watch Trainspotting
-Read The Birds, watch The Birds.
Throw a bit of film critical theory in there and that's my tutorial in a nutshell. Yay!
Today I unpacked one of my bags. Yes, from spring break. Yes, I'm pathetic.
Later in the evening I'm going to upload pictures. I'm getting depressed just looking at this lifeless blog.
